As well as hosting termly Open Events, we welcome prospective families all year round for individual tours. Please get in touch with us to arrange a visit.
Following your visit to Fairfield and when you have decided that you would like your child to attend Fairfield, you will need to complete a Registration Form and return it to us with a non-refundable registration fee of £120 per child. This fee covers the registration procedure.
If the year group you’re applying to is full, you can still register your child and you’ll be placed on our waiting list. Reception places are offered as a priority to children who attend our Pre-School Nursery.
Register todayOnce you have registered your child with Fairfield, our Admissions Officer will contact you to arrange a taster morning for your child to experience what life is like at Fairfield and provide the opportunity for them to meet some new friends.
During this visit the class teacher will carry out informal assessments in English, reading and mathematics.
Reception InfantOnce you have registered your child with Fairfield, our Admissions Officer will contact you to arrange two taster days so your child can experience what life is like at Fairfield and provide the opportunity to meet some new friends.
During the days with us there will be classroom-based assessments in English, mathematics and/or verbal or non-verbal reasoning.
Our Head, Mrs Barton, will also have an informal chat with your child to get to know them.
After the taster days we will be able to assess whether we feel that your child will fit comfortably within the academic standards of the class and your child will be able to tell if he or she would be happy to join us.
Following the taster sessions, we will contact you with a formal offer of a place. We aim to contact families within 2 working days after a taster day.
If you decide to accept the place, we shall ask you for a completed Acceptance Form together with an Acceptance Deposit of £600 per child. This deposit will be refunded to you, without interest, when your child leaves Fairfield.
You will receive a Parents’ Handbook giving information about day-to-day arrangements in school and a newsletter with details of clubs and extra-curricular activities for the coming term, together with special events and other general information. A termly diary will follow early in the term; we also issue a regular weekly newsletter for parents.
Pupils receive their own Pupil Handbook at the start of the academic year.
